Support
Most problems here are one of five things. Work down the list before writing in, and if you do write in, the details at the bottom make it fixable in one reply instead of four.
Start here
The button does not appear on my course
Reload the page once after installing. The extension injects its entry point when a Skool course page loads, so a tab that was already open before installation will not have it. If it still does not appear, confirm you are on a course page rather than the community feed or the community’s course index.
It found fewer lessons than the course has
Lessons your account cannot open are not counted as available, because they genuinely are not. The configure screen shows how many were found and how many are locked before the run starts. If a lesson is locked, it is locked at Skool’s end and no setting here changes that.
Some lessons were skipped
Every skip carries a reason. The common ones:
- YouTube lesson. Saved as a link on purpose. It stays on YouTube, so it is not the content at risk.
- Locked. Your account does not have access to that lesson.
- Not released yet. Drip content that has not reached your account.
- DRM protected. Not supported, and never will be.
- No video. Lesson text is saved as Markdown, files attached to the lesson are downloaded beside it, and resources that are links to other sites are preserved as links.
The export stopped part way
Retry with the same destination folder. The queue checkpoints progress only after bytes are committed to disk, so it can use the retained state. Do not move or rename the destination folder between attempts. Automatic hard-crash recovery remains a release test.
My licence key will not activate
Check that the key is for this product and that the subscription behind it is active. If an old device is using an activation, deactivate it before activating the replacement. If it still fails, send the exact error text and only the last four characters of the key. Never email a complete licence key.
Known limits, so you do not spend time on them
- YouTube lessons are saved as links, not video files.
- DRM protected video cannot be downloaded.
- Content your account cannot open cannot be downloaded.
- Desktop Chrome is the v1 target. A real Windows run remains a release gate.
- One course export at a time, into one destination folder.
- Subtitles are not included in v1. Resources that are links to other sites stay as links.
Getting in touch
Email [email protected]. Include the points below and it is usually one reply.
What to include:
- Your operating system and Chrome version.
- The extension version, shown in the popup footer.
- Whether it is one lesson or one whole course.
- What the lesson’s player looks like: Skool’s own, Loom, Vimeo, Wistia, or YouTube.
- The exact reason text shown next to the failed row.
Please do not send your Skool password, session cookies, or a complete licence key. Nothing about support requires them, and nobody here will ask for them.
