Copyright and takedown policy

We respect copyright and will act on a credible report. One fact shapes what we can do: no course content passes through or is stored on any server we operate.

1. What every user agrees to

Under our terms of use, each user is solely responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to access and export the material they use Skool Video Downloader – Bulk Course Backup on, and for complying with the terms of service of the platform hosting it and the rights of the creators whose work they are saving. The extension is intended for personal backup of material the user legitimately has access to. Nothing we provide grants rights a user does not already hold.

Using the extension for any of the following breaches those terms:

  • Reproducing, distributing, publicly performing or displaying, or making derivative works from copyrighted material without the rights holder’s permission or another lawful basis.
  • Building a mirror, resale channel, or redistribution service from another party’s course.
  • Attempting to obtain material the user’s own account is not entitled to access.
  • Sharing a licence key beyond the device allowance it covers.

The extension has no upload, sharing, or publishing path, so exported files can only reach the user’s own device. It does not circumvent DRM, paywalls, or access controls; where an account is not entitled to a lesson, the source server refuses the request and the lesson is recorded as skipped.

2. Reporting a copyright concern

If you own a copyright, or are authorised to act for the owner, and believe Skool Video Downloader – Bulk Course Backup is being used to infringe it, contact us at [email protected]. Please include:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work concerned.
  • Your name, the rights holder you represent, and contact details.
  • A description of what you believe is happening, with enough detail for us to investigate.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate.

We acknowledge reports within three business days.

3. What we can act on

  • Terminating a licence. Where we can identify a customer who has breached our terms, we can revoke their licence and decline further sales.
  • Changing the product. Where a capability is enabling misuse, we can remove or restrict it. YouTube-hosted lessons are already saved as links rather than downloaded.
  • Cooperating with the platform or creator. We will engage directly and act on a reasonable request.
  • Repeat infringers. Customers who breach these terms lose access and will not knowingly be sold to again.

We cannot remove a file from a user’s own computer, or identify what any individual has saved. No copy or record of exported content exists on our side.

4. Counter-notice

If we act against your account and you believe that was mistaken, reply to the same address with your reasoning. We will review it and restore access if we were wrong.

5. Independence

NextGen Apps is independent of Skool, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Skool. “Skool” is used descriptively to indicate compatibility.
